Meet two finalists in the Westfield Local Heroes community grants program who will be supporting The Kids’ Cancer Project if they get the votes!
Two advocates of The Kids’ Cancer Project are in the running to each win a $10,000 grant and the title of Westfield ‘local hero’ in their suburb.
Jake de Kort, 22 of Cromer and 49-year-old Mark Pacey of Lurgano are among dozens of people from 37 Westfield centres named as finalists for the community grants program which is now in its fourth year.
Both men were nominated for their work in the community and supreme efforts to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer research.
Three grants each of $10,000 will be awarded to finalists at each Westfield centre, as voted by the community for the positive impact they’ve had in their local community.
The program recognises and promotes community role models like Jake and Mark whose fundraising activities for The Kids’ Cancer Project have funded ground-breaking scientific research to bring about positive benefits for countless children.
Should either Jake or Mark win the grant, they’ll be making a sizeable donation to the charity that will help even more kids with cancer.
You can only vote once. Vote for your local hero below.
