Who are Bromic?

The Bromic Group innovate, engineer, manufacture and distribute a whole range of products from heating and refrigeration to plumbing and gas. All operating from their state-of-the-art hub in Sydney.

Bromic have been supporting The Kids’ Cancer Project for several years, after learning about the charity’s founder.

“Hearing Col’s incredible story is what inspired us in the beginning and what continues to inspire us,” said Bromic’s Manging Director, Scott Smith.

Despite challenges with COVID, Bromic was determined to get involved again in 2021 and ran their second Go Kart Derby in November. Inspired by the community spirit fostered by The Kids’ Cancer Project’s new fundraising initiative The Better Challenge, they dubbed their second annual race ‘The Bromic Better Challenge’.

“We try and be innovative and imaginative with a fun challenge each year,” said Scott. “In times like this where there are challenges for all of us, it’s important to consider how you can give back. The Better Challenge has been an inspirational and collaborative way to give back, bigger and better than last year.”

How have Bromic staff been engaged through the partnership?

Bromic staff members rallied together to take on ‘The Bromic Better Challenge’, employing their collaboration skills and creativity to come up with unique racing vehicles. In 2021, the challenge was ramped up to be a true team event.

“There were single drivers in 2020, but it’s now very much a team-based challenge. Teams need to engineer a vehicle to navigate an obstacle course and get ten group members across the finish line in the quickest time.”

Outcome and results of partnership with The Kids’ Cancer Project

Bromic zoomed past their 2020 fundraising total, crossing the finishing line with an incredible $34,907. This will go towards supporting The Kids’ Cancer Project mission of 100 per cent survival for kids with cancer.

“The highlight of the partnership is the ability to bring staff together as a team for an incredibly worthwhile cause,” said Scott. “Seeing their joy at being able to give back and collaborate for something that goes beyond straight commercial gain for a business is amazing.”
